Stability and purpose, a better life you chose
For better or worse, those words you pledged
Good luck and goodbyes, that’s all can be said
We’ve come a long way, now you’re off fully fledged
The sun won’t shine for me, just as bright
The moonlight won’t look the same when it reflects at night
Friendly gestures silenced by distance
Hearts consumed by miles of circumstance
For which that was or that which will be
We’ll never know for sure what lies
